AASTRO Club Kollam District Chapter to be inaugurated on Friday

AASTRO Kerala, the Astronomy & Space Science popularisation wing of Kerala State Science & Technology Museum is now engaged with forming astronomy and space science clubs in various colleges all over the state through its district fractions. Functioning of such clubs is aimed to spread topics like Astronomy, Astrophysics, Cosmology, Space science and allied subjects among student mass and inspire them to get into the field in future. Kollam district fraction of AASTRO Clubs will be officially launched on Friday, 19th October 2012, 10.00 am at SN College for Women, Kollam.


Dr.V Rajashekhar, Senior Scientist, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram will inaugurate the function and will deliver a talk in ‘Recent trends and developments in Indian Space Sector’. AASTRO Kollam officials,AASTRO Club authorities, other dignitaries, Co ordinators, Members, students and other astronomy and space science enthusiasts from all around the district will attend the programme.
